I've already dumped more money in the car than I wanted to. SAFC + Neo is not worth it to me right now. It's easier just to swap headers, plus I already know I was satisfied with the S&S' performance. Even though the S&S were on someone else's car, top end felt the same as my car with the PPE. I wish I had a supercharger to take advance of the better flow capacity at the top end .

Check your headers. Just got mine in today and the passenger has 2 leaks and the driver has one. Used a telescoping LED to check them in a dark room. On the passenger there was a hole in the center of the collecter that i could fit a ribbon through and in the second tube from the back where the flange is welded to it. On the driver header it is inside the collecter on the wall where to of the pipes V's together. Ignore the dates on the pictues camera is messed up!

Ouch a second set that has a hole in it. Mine didn't have any, but the way my headers are being held right now, I wouldn't be surprised if they cracked later on.

I sent the black set of headers back to PPE the other day and I noticed that when I tried to put the two head flanges together (like the way they shipped it out), the two flanges weren't flat against each other.

I got mine Tuesday. I have not yet do a complete scanning through all the joints. From the look of the solder joints, they did not do a good job soldering. I am very disappointed. I will try to find time to do some light test. Is flash light in a dark room good enough for this test?

You mean welding. Their welding is not bad actually. Some parts are harder to weld than others but we cannot expect machine welds. Still there shouldn't be a hole of any sort.

UPDATE: spoke to paul at PPE said he has a new set made for me and they will be at coating on wednessday. Said he was sorry and that the fabricator that made mine is no longer working there. Its nice to see a company stand behind their work.

Yea PPE has been really good with customer service so far. That's one thing they have over S&S. S&S is harder to reach since it was practically a one man operation.

I wonder how much profit PPE lost in just shipping (mine was overnight due to a mix up) and coating.

As you guys know, i had the same problem with mine. But it was just one small hole on the drivers side header. You scared me! for a second there when i opened the thread i thought you had installed them already and they cracked!

PPE is great with their customer service. They sent me a prepaid shipping label to send the set back and i get a replacement set about 5 days later. Goodluck!
