Default Magnaflow mufflers

Hi Folks,

i'm a noob on exhaust mod here. I was planning to change my stock mufflers to magnaflow because i already done a research, and i think they have the most value for money for their mufflers. What is the correct muffler size for 2006 IS350? Do you guys have any other options besides magnaflow mufflers?

I found these, http://www.autoanything.com/exhausts...A2692A0A0.aspx Which one should i get & the inlet size for IS350?

P.S

I couldn't change my stock exhaust to full exhaust system like HKS or Tanabe because i'm very tight on budget

Hmm....doesn't say how many chambers...

Have you tried calling around to muffler shops? I bet they can advise which inlet/outlet would fit.

They only said that my car needs the 14" ones. Do you know how big the size for IS350 stock inlet? 2.25" or 2.5" ?

Magnaflow exhaust for almost $1000 is way out of budget for me, better to buy used HKS or Tanabe exhaust..lol

You should get F-sport front and rear sway bars (~$500) before you worry about mufflers.

The sway bars will significantly enhance the handling of your IS350. Significantly. It will make driving the IS350 much more pleasurable on twisty roads. You can negotiate turns at higher speeds with much greater confidence. Body roll is severely diminished and overall you'll be getting more rubber to the ground.

I think you can get a bit of a discount on the F-sport sway bars if you buy them through Sewell online and indicate that you are a clublexus member.

nice advice CarlX, but here in Washington, there almost zero twisty roads that i will drive with my IS. My driving route usually about 80% city so IMO, sway bars will be useless.

I would go with the pattern the car has now. That way you won't have to worry about changing anything if you are on a budget.

How many chambers does it have?

lol that's why i asked about it, i really don't have an idea whether IS350 stock mufflers are using center or offset inlet?

I think Magnaflow only have 1 chamber, http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/02muffler.asp
