Despite the assumed "definition" of rice as being "Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancement", I think the interpretation will ALWAYS vary. What one person considers to be rice or not will be based purely on preference. Since the rice reference carries such a negative connotation, I'm inclined to say that anyone with modifications that others might consider ricey isn't likely to feel the same. For example, when I put yellow fog overlays on my car, a coworker said it was ricey and I argued otherwise, but neither of us were really right or wrong! I guess my point is that it doesn't matter what others might categorize your exhaust as because in the end, your modifications should be made to please yourself, not others. If you like the sound and looks of it, embrace your decision to purchase and slap it on!

Thanks for the video, I really think that INGS with HKS Hi Power looks the best! It really does sound so much better with the midpipe! Too bad AWD doesn't have aftermarket midpipe available. And i really like your tail lights, whered you get them from?!

Yeah, thats what all ricers would like to think tho, the whole "doesn't matter what others think", or maybe they think other people admire their work. Either way, I will slap it on. Maybe take some pictures afterwards and post them on this thread!

Yeap, after reading everyone's helpful comments, I'm going to confidently install them and see what I think. I just hope my parent's won't get too angry because they've always thought Lexus was known for its quality and mainly quiet cabin. This is going to be pretty funny once they experience it for themselves haha!

i've had it for a few months along w/ a midpipe....OMG it sounds amazing. there is drone, but it sounds like music to my ears. it's similar to a g35 but more agressive.

I just sold my hks hi power n it was my second one I had. I keep selling n going back. But I'm going for a new look. Trying to get a wald exhaust. But it's not crazy loud. I thought it was subtle. Filled the exhaust hole great

Ya the canister is rice IMO. I know hks makes two but wish it would of been more I say elegant for a luxury exhaust.

Everyone is going to interpret the meaning of RICE differently. The way I see, if your car is all show and no go... it leans into the RICE. If your mods add a bit of HP, then it's better than dead weight. If your mods help you corner and brake better, then it's better than dead weight.

I've seen too many Civics that have a bunch of "Fake" mods such as carbon fiber gas cover, mirrors, drilled holes in rear bumper, fake drilled rotors, brake caliper covers to look like BBK, 8 inch exhaust tip, more vinyl decals than sheet metail, giant airplane wing in back, etc... but the person has no performance mods.
