Which is Faster GS430 or Aristo twin-turbo?
#2
That's kind of a vague question. Do you mean stock for stock right from the factory? I would think it would be pretty easy to increase the boost on the stock aristo and smoke a 430. So, I will have to go with the aristo even if it is slower from the factory (which I think it is not).

But I bet Lexus has made it hard to do that and might damage the engine even if you could.

I think stock for stock, they are the same...but like everyone said, the Toyota Aristo can be EASILY tuned (BPU style) to hand a GS430 it's *** on a platter....but since we don't get the Aristo V300 Vertex edition here, I guess we'll just have to settle for the GS430... (or get a GS300 and slap a turbo in it)

Umm...our cars come with 276hp officially on the papers. This is usually very very under-rated = which means in real life, our cars probably easily push over 310-320hp. That alone would probably be enough to pull quite easily on the heavier ( I assume) GS430. Now with the cheap (free even!) mods, I can easily boost the car up to push 340-350 rwhp. That's rear wheels and not crank like the GS430s stated hp and will outrun most other cars on the street, much less a GS430.....
......so I guess we do lucked out on this. But I did pay through my nose for my V300.....

The Aristo Twin Turbo engine is considered as one of the two best/strongest engines in Japan.
The other one is 2.5L TT for the Nissan Skyline. Both engines can be easily tuned and can output 500 -600hp without any engine modification.
The standard GS300 engine shares a lot with the 3.0L Twinturbo, but the TT has a lot of enhancements.
They always say that the Japanese like to keep the best for themselves.
One big disadvantage of the Aristo TT is that it really burns its fuel fast.
My GS300 can go 8km with 1 littre or 18.8MPG with normal-medium aggressive driving.
My friend's Aristo TT normally has a 13MPG, but if he hits it it can easily go to 7 - 8MPG.
This is without boosting its turbo. Imagine what mileage he would get if he add another bar to its turbopressure.
