Default New GS4 owner cars transmission acting up.. need any input!

Hey guys, I just got a 99' GS400 with 170xxx miles. Everything seems to run good but the transmission. I notice it doesn't shift as smoothly when going from a complete stop to a slow drive under 10mph it seems to jerk or thud. I also notice some rough shifting at colds starts and when I go from park to drive it kind of snaps and the car jumps a little..most experienced when I go from park to drive at an incline. It seems like everytime the car shifts from nuetral or into nuetral itll be rough, and sometimes it seems the car would shift a little late from gear or early. Anyone experience a similar problem like this or any input would be much appreciated!

Sounds like you're low on transmission fluid. Drain the existing fluid from the transmission pan under the car. Then refill with 2.5 quarts of Toyota tranny fluid. Not 2 quarts. 2 AND A HALF. If you're low half a quart, it'll show the same symptoms you describe.
