Default Car just dies!

Hey guys...lately when I've been driving, when I turn on the headlights or signal or brake, my radio dies and/or my car shuts off, but just for a second and everything comes back on. I'll turn off my car and restart it again and it doesn't happen anymore! But just today, when I signaled, my car shut off in the middle of the street, no power to anything!!! couldnt turn on my emergency lights, nothing worked!! I opened the hood and jiggled the positive terminal on the battery around and went back in the car and everything was good. It's starting to get colder here, could that be the issue? I've checked fuses and everything looks fine...I know you CL guys can help. Has anyone ever had this happen to them?

check battery, clean mass air flow sensor, clean throttle body, replace air filter, change spark plugs, check on coil packs, etc....

good luck.

replaced valve cover gaskets, throttle body, and spark plugs around sept 2010, but my ABS and VSC lights are still on.....was thinking it might be an ecu problem, but I dont want to buy a new ecu if that's not the issue. Thanks again

This used to happen to me when I first Got my GS. There was a lot of residue in the Battery Terminal Connections. I just had the residue removed and put the little clothe things on and I have never had a problem since.

Check your charging system first then proceed to the rest.

I've changed the throttle body before because the motor it in was out, and it got rid of my check engine light. But the lights are still there for me, VSC, ABS, and VSC off are on all the time for me! I've checked my abs sensors and all is good. Maybe a bad booster? but anyways...Maybe its time for a new battery!!

If I let the car warm up it doesnt do it. But if I start it up without warming it up first, I'll immediately check it by turning on the headlights, which then shuts off the cluster and radio. I'll turn the engine off and on again and BAM, back to normal!!
