Default There's hope after all

Bit, the rough idle I’m referring to is with a/c off – mine idles smooth with a/c on. It didn’t screw up the A/c on idle and did improve the A/c off idle.

RA, maybe I’m not as bad off as I thought – while talking with tinygs at the meet yesterday he reminded me that the accelerometer depends on being level (that’s why you level it prior to testing). As I mentioned in one of the previous posts, there is a slight rise in the road that I’m using – in other words, I’m going (slightly) uphill – and this is a likely reason for the apparent slow 0-60 times. It’s also a reason to run in both directions and average the times. I chose not to run in the other direction ‘cause I’ll be more visible at speed that way. I’ll have to try running “downhill” next time and see what the results are.

That problem won't have any bearing on my comparison tests since they were all run in the same direction - uphill.

After pulling 267.8 RWH on the dyno yesterday, I’m getting the power to do better than 6.1 and 6.2. The stock GS4’s were pulling 230-240.

Ah. I didn't see you GTech your car at the uphill. No wonder. I, actually PearlPower put those plugs for me. All I can say is wow. However, we also cleaned my SRT intake filter and reset the ECU. I will report once the car reaches 100 miles.

Default Not exactly a "hill"

RA - yeah I'd mentioned on a previous thread that I'd noticed a slight rise in the road - it's not exactly "up hill"! We don't have a lot of hills here, but it stands to reason that you go slower going up a rise and faster going downhill - anyway I won't know for sure till I try, maybe next weekend. For the time being, it does help to justify the $****ty times I've been getting. I had noticed the uphill rise in the "SRT race ecu tested" thread.

Don't know if you read the PHR meet thread I posted today - the dyno gurus got Fever another 5 RWH by removing his somewhat dirty filter - so, you did good by cleaning the filter. They also thought that the AFE filter that comes with the SRT intake doesn't have enough surface area and ought to be changed to one with more filter area (like open on the end).

My intake filter was pretty filthy. PP was going to post the picture of my engine bay, but he was kind enough not to. I'm still waiting 'til ECU has learned my driving habbit. Also we found out there is something wrong with my transmission solenoid. That may hold me back on the shifting even more. (I'm just guessing here.)

Default I wouldn't complain at 5.7

If I were getting 5.7 without a TC, I'd be happy - cause with a TC in my immediate future, I'd expect to get to under 5.5. How modded are you? Looks like you're trying to do the "stealth" thing? Don't list your mods? C'mon brutha (as sneak would say) tell us!

I don't feel like posting my mod online since we all know once people know what you have and they like, everybody just copies it.

Don't forget I have a 430 which is 0.1 second faster in 0-60 than 400. I will post my GTech result later once I fix the engine check light.

Default PP "lifted your skirt"

Hey RA – PP spilled the beans – bared all, so to speak – all of your mods visible to the whole world! But don’t worry, I can keep a secret!

garnet,

by the time PP really exposes my mod (I trust him not), I'd probably have a few new ones on. I'm already planning for the Christmas gift for myself. Yeah, it's a bit early. LOL.

garnet,

The only forced induction I'd get is from a name brand tuner such as TOM'S, Blitz, and WALD.

Bit, also realize you do have a very strong GS; some of us with "older" ones just need some help in keeping up with the young bucks.
