Doing your own labor doesn't void anything, and never does.
Paying the dealer for install, specifically only for F-sport parts, extends the warranty, only on those parts, to be as long as your new vehicle warranty (if you have more than 1 year left on it... otherwise it remains at 1 year).

You have a new car warranty for 4 yr/50k miles. That can't be "voided"
They don't have to fix anything caused by an aftermarket part, generally, but the warranty remains in place otherwise.
F-sport parts have a 1 year parts warranty regardless of install.
Now, if you pay a dealer to install an F-sport part, you get the parts warranty extended to the rest of your new car warranty length, if it's longer than a year. (but since the "parts" in this case are a tube and an inert plastic box, that's pretty much irrelevant).
In addition to that they warranty their labor (meaning if they install it wrong, they fix the problem that causes) for the same period... but any shop should warranty labor for some amount of time so that's not terribly odd.
If you DIY you don't get a labor warranty, since you didn't pay anyone for the labor.
If you screw something up on the install (which, other than failing to reconnect something, is pretty much impossible) then nobody is fixing that for free but you.
But that's all you "lose" by not paying someone. And as I say, other than forgetting to reconnect something (pretty much that's just either end of the tube properly, or plugging the MAF back in) it's about impossible to screw it up.

I got mine off E-Bay for under $300 a few years ago!
Installed it myself very easily and quickly, but i've had experience installing intakes in my previous cars and my brothers Ford Lightning.

Just ordered my intake! I am excited, I am looking forward to the sound 
I decided to go with 2-day shipping because I am impatient and want it for this weekend, but even with that, price was $340, which is much cheaper than dealerships want in Atlanta, plus none of them actually stock it, they all want cash up front to order it.
