wtf lol
what exactly does it say? A lot of times messedup trannys are due to the fluid not being changed. Id at least .. at LEAST do it every 100k, a lot of people go 150 without doing it at all but dang.
Personally id do it every 2-3 years or 50k miles, drain and refill. youll get a lot of other opinions

As you drive, small bits of contaminant, small pieces of metal, etc. will start becoming present in the ATF and the more you drive the more these pieces kind of just settle in the trans. If you do regular tranny fluid changes this isnt really a problem, but if you dont, what can happen is these pieces will sort of 'settle' and then once you do a flush all this will be dumped out of the trans and you will notice the trannys will start to act funky, shift wierd, etc because these particles got dumped out or caught in the valve body, etc.
So I've always been told either keep up on it and do changes every 15-20k or so and stay on top of it, or if you buy a car with 100-150k that hasnt been maintained dont bother, because the moment you do a flush stuff will most likely start acting up.

Its a bad idea to not change tranny fluid for 100-150k then change it.

Signed up a long time ago and just scooped a super clean 1 owner pearl white GS300 so I've been doing some reading in order to fix some issues (door lock actuators) but I saw this thread and figured I'd throw my 2 cents in
