Im running the stock side mount intercooler. The piping goes right under the head light, it doesnt look like the original intake will sit all the way down. So it does fit? I wish i had it with me so i could try it but its at the shop.

What MAF sensor are you using, the one that came with the engine right ?

shiftlock is there on all models , there is a couple of pins to move around for tranny shiftlock , lights on the dash and tranny to shift correctly.. also make sure you are using jdm maf as the part nmumber is slightly diff then usdm maf. a couple of pins need to be moved for maf to read correctly or else cel and car will not rev past 3k

Ok i put on new plug wires and it is still missing and idling low. possibly the coil packs? I was thinking maybe i have a bad maf or tps due to my low idle but it also sounds like its missing.

What about running both ECUs? Use the JDM ecu for the motor and use the USDM ecu from the original car. Then get pinouts for both, splice over the sensor wires form the new ecu into the original and be done with it. Does that work, I've read about people doing that. The car wont have traction control (who give a crap anyway) but at least everything else will work. I know the CEL light stays on because the old ecu thinks the engine isnt working right. But just like lexforlife said, pull the bulb.
