Is it worth it to buy this for a 250? I'm so tempted to get this, but don't know if it's worth it. Any 250 owners with this header can help? Will I be able to actually feel the gain?

On a related note. Are there any comparable headers that might be more cost-realistic? I know Megan makes some for around 400 dollars. I'm going to call them and get the dimensions of the piping today but there's more to headers than just pipe dimensions. So anyone know of competitive companies?

I've yet to see anyone ever say anything positive about the megan headers, apart from them being cheap to purchase.

(nor have I seen a dyno for the megans showing gains)

I've literally not heard anyone say ANYTHING about them, at all. I even Emailed Megan to give them a chance to try and defend themselves, I'm still waiting on a response. With all the issues PPE has insofar as having to further modify the setup to get rid of the CEL lights I'm hesitant to buy, especially when the money could be better spent elsewhere.

What issues ? the new version of PPE headers does not required to weld or drill , installl as it. and even up dated 02 sensor stimulator... the only thing need to required if you are running cats, then need to weld on other then that its all bolts on .. i have is on for more than 2 months now... no problem what so ever U can call PPE direct line to talk to Paul or his brother before purchase a thing ... They will tell everything u need how to install or your mechanics

If you do a search you'll find a couple of older threads where folks mention the somewhat questionable looking weld quality... and the fact that while they "fit" a 350 they were originally "meant" for the 250 (and that if they're claiming their headers work equally well on both it is automatically kinda admitting they don't know WTF they're talking about...)... but not much else beyond that.

(this in reference to Megan)
