I would strongly suggest doing it yourself... you literally remove 2 bolts, then slide the exhaust out of a few rubber hangers, then reverse the process to install the new one. 30-60 minutes tops.
how hard is it to clean/keep it clean? I've heard these things are a pain to maintain like it has to be polished every week. is that true?
They do not need to be polished every week, however they do need to be washed/wiped down often or else you will need to polish. Carbon deposits/exhaust "dirt" (don't know what to call it" will make the exhaust tips turn black. You will probably notice some of this residue beginning to appear even after just 1 trip around the block. This is simple to remove, assuming you do not let it set there for an extended period of time. If you keep up with washing your car on a weekly basis, just make it a habit to wipe down the exhaust tips as you are finishing up with your wash. If you let the dirt/residue sit on the tips for a while, it will essentially bond to the metal and will require polishing to remove.
Hi all. Wondering if anyone know if having a GFX (Lexus OEM) rear lip would affect fitment of the M2 exhaust. I mean, would the exhaust tips be so close to the lip that they burn? Thanks.
