Default replacing aftermarket exhaust gaskets...

Hey guys,

I pulled my exhaust off this weekend to throw some headers. As I took my aftermarket exhaust off, the gaskets crumbled in my hands. What should I do about this? Can I order new ones? or should I just make my own?

If make my own, how should I go about it?
Thanks

good question I'd like to make my own gasket too. I've got an exhaust leak and I think it would be remedied with a gasket. You will need a heat resistant material. I'm sure someone done this.

I need something like this, but not sure if it'll fit.

Hole Diameter: 2.5", Bolt Circle: 3.5", Bolt Hole: 3/8" 3 bolt hole. Multi-Layered Steel (MLS) header collector gaskets are designed for extreme cylinder pressure produced by high horsepower-high compression turbo-charged, supercharged & nitrous oxide engines. Manufactured from three stainless steel layers, resists corrosion, will not burn through or push out & maintains maximum fastener torque retention. Stress formed inner and outer layer embossments act like springs that rebound under exhaust flange clamp load. Applications: Dynomax, Flowtech, Hedman, Hooker Headers, etc..

I was actually considering getting cork paper or whatever, and making my own, but I don't know how well it'll work.

I got big sheet of exhaust gasket material at AutoZone for like $12 a few monthjs ago when I was installing my Greddy Exhaust and just made/cut out new gaskets myself. Time consuming but worth it.

I still have the old exhaust so I can just take it out and trace it using some cloth or thin paper. It's a matter of when LOL
