You should have done more research if your wife also owns a stake in your car. I am in the same situation where wife also drive my car. I know for a fact that she likes the car quiet.

After listening to sound clips and getting other users feedback, I learned that the quietest exhausts was Tanabe (without breaking my wallet). I love the agressive sound and the quietness. It has a nice deep tone that is a step louder than the stock. People couldn't tell the exhause was aftermarket from listening to it. In the cabin, you barely notice it until you are gunning it. I love it.
