Default Advise on K&N Intake making weird noises

Okay so i've been noticing a weird noise when I'm accelerating, it's kinda like a whistling noise(like a blow off valve) when I'm accelerating/pushing the gas paddle. But this only occurs when I'm already moving. I did some research and lot of people said that the main suspect is your intake. I double and triple check to make sure that everything is on correctly, but the noise is still there. I took off my K&N yesterday and put back on my stock intake and the sound disappear. So does anyone why why my K&N make that sounds. Is it normal? Any advise? thanks.

it should be a normal since you've switched over from the factory CAI to the aftermarket SRI. I hear it all the time in my Fujita intake. Its just the air being sucked in thru the cone.

that noise will eventually disappear after a while, its just the air getting sucked through

that's great. Thank everyone for their help. I know intake barely add any power, if at all. But i feel like w/ the K&N my car is more responsive.

to bring back a somewhat dead thread, I installed my K&N a couple weeks ago, and I am also having an extremely high pitch whistle under light throttle, at first I thought it might be the filter, but I took the filter off and revved it a little (not while driving), and I could still hear the whistle loud and clear. The noise is really unbearable with the windows down, imagine a dog whistle except you can hear it right at the top of your hearing range. I emailed K&N and they say it is normal and that the sound is likely from the throttle body. Is this normal with every intake that goes on these cars? I am hoping it goes away, but if not I guess I will go with an F sport or Joe Z with a high flow filter, hopefully those don't have this problem.

That's normal. I'm assuming this is the first time you installed an intake in any car?

umm no, i have had intakes on all five of my vehicles, including about 10k worth of mods in my speed 3, all of which I installed. I have never had an unbearably high pitched noise like I am experiencing on this car though.
