post race v8 seriously hurt or not?
coming from the movies i bumped into 2 infinity's. a g35 sedan. and a later model m45. we did a few runs as the 35 driver swore he would take us both, the m45 hit it first, i followed and slowly started inching on him til i walked on him at about 135-140. we did about 3 runs, all up to about 140 or so. long story short, now my car sounds hurt, well, actually it sounds like a muscle car with the lumpy idle and throttle. i'm guessing and hoping is an exhaust leak since most of the sound is coming from under the car. it feels like its lacking major power on low rpm, but midrange pulls like normal. any suggestions or ideas?
btw, no cel or rough idle. just sounds like it has high lift cams while idling
race was done at a long stretch of empty road at 4am

i doubt its a misfire but i'll check the plugs and coils. the car accelerates and idles like normal, no stalling, erratic idle or shake. the problem is just noise related as the car sounds like a v8 gasser under throttle

problem solved. exhaust manifold gasket before the cats on both sides were shot. replaced both and everything back to normal. the constant pressure at wot & back to back runs blew the gaskets.

my car sounded like a blown big block chevy. the shop took about an hour & half and charged me $90 to replace and install both gaskets. i ran it at those speeds because the highway was empty and its a stretch of road that is decent, a rare encounter here in ny
