Got the car back and she runs great! I want to wait a little while and observe my gas mileage numbers. Just a little pissed that it cost me $850 + $500 for all parts. Didn't mean for this crap to get this expensive. Now I can't do anything on my car for a good while...well, maybe small stuff.

Thanks man...I also changed both knocks sensors and fuel filter assembly/parts. Along with new intake manifold gaskets and plenum gasket. Those were needed to get to the knock sensors. It is nice to know everything is sealed up like new again.

Well, $1350 isn't something to sneeze at. but yeah, the car is running good again. Fyi, I was gettinan avg of 15 mpg. I think it will get better!

Cool... now you know the drill on here. If you still have the old filter you have to cut it open and post the guts on the fuel filter thread..
I bet your glad to be concentrating on the boost now..

Wow, I can pull that whole Intake manifold off in 1 pcs, so as to only change the lower intake gaskets & have it out in 30min. Damn that suck 850 in labor. Hell you should have had the starter replaced while you were there, cause sounds like there gonna get you for another 850 on labor when you have to change that. I charged a kid $150 labor to do his lol. But glad to hear is back running strong again. So did you do the spark plug seal gasket or not?

15mpg in nyc here is average for us :\

me and alot of members from the city here get 16-17 mpg doing mixed driving but mostly city. i use to think something was wrong with my vehicle until i saw others from here also experiencing the same with my type of driving style. i also have a stock car no engine mods besides a k&n filter.

Hey guys, back from the dead. So, I found out I have been using the WRONG DAMN SPARK PLUGS for over 2 years now. This was my second pair of TM plugs (bought in early '09) and I bought my 1st set in '06. When I purchased my lastest set I noticed the design was a bit different but just thought it was maybe just the newest model. Doing recent research on the next set of plugs to buy I found out that the TM's that I currently have are the 'S' star torquemaster plugs for forced induction applications!!! I bought them from a trusted vendor too! So, my first set I purchased back in '06 were the correct ones. Did I screw anything up with my ride? I was told my car was a running really rich and eventhough it felt strong my dynos prove that my power went down some. What makes a plug more suitable for FI? Could I have seen better performance with a plug more suitable for my n/a application? I was leaning towars Ngk Iridiums, Denso Iridiums and now, once again, Torquemasters but make sure I get the right ones this time. Did I cause any engine damage by doing this?

On the TM plugs I think they are just 1 or 2 heat ranges colder than stock. On other plugs for FI the electrode is a bit recessed. The colder heat range on a N/A app can cause mis fires and weak spark due to the plugs not getting hot enough to "clean" themselves. This can reduce power.
