I was under the impression you couldn't get these kits anymore? I would love to have one of these on my IS350. I know cost vs reward isn't that great but im sure this with full bolt-ons makes the car pretty fast. And honestly I'm willing to spend the money as I would rather have a supercharged 350 vs an IS-F. (i like the way 350s look more)

With the low boost did people blow up their motors?

They don't sell the kits anymore (and only ever sold a few).

I imagine his list is for people wanting to cobble their own kit together.

AFAIK nobody running the stock 5 psi ever blew a motor... but they didn't make much extra power either for their $6000... (40-50 whp).

With headers, intake, and full exhaust you're looking close to 10k installed to pick up maybe 2/3rds the power spending that 10k on an IS-F instead gets you, and you're crapping your powertrain warranty to do it, and still stuck with the inferior ISx50 transmission instead of the much better one in the F.

Yeah I agree on everything you said. Probably still 30hp shy of the IS-F. I just think the 350 looks much better.

I guess I'll just stick with a swap in this SC400 i picked up.

This can be made/duplicated for $3700-4100 depending on how much of the piping you can cut and weld your self or have to pay someone to fab. Also, how much you can get the crank pulley from LMS FOR.

hey everyone, new to the forum, but one of the main reasons i hopped on here was to take a look at what other owners had to say about forced induction. any of ya think a remote turbo setup might be more cost efficient? and an easier install?

No matter what setup you use you're looking at 12:1 compression, so no more than 5-7 psi of boost safely... which isn't a lot of gain for what's gonna run you 4-6 grand minimum.

US buyers at least are going to get better bang/buck just buying the next faster IS rather than trying to make theirs significantly faster... (unless you count nitrous, which is pretty good bang/buck, but only in small bursts, and only if done properly)
