You may have better luck on my.IS but I believe you'll need an ECU upgrade to run a MAP on the IS300.

I wonder how much he is charging him to complete the job. Sounds pretty shady to me.

Yea.. not realy my install... the kid went and bought the cheapest turbo kit hecould possibly find... heads up on turbospecialties... their turbo kit for this IS came with a T3 turbo... very smalll even for a honda... but the fuel management sent for the kit is a complete waste and does not work at all, it has two injectors the feed directly into the intake in front of the throttlebody causing improper fuel ratios in all cylinders from rich in 1 to lean in 4&5 so stay away, the big issue i was having is the read out of the maf sensor is so far off with this kit the car wouldnt run above idle, meaning absolutely no boost was any good. So... the next step is the right way to work with the right injectors a good ecu system an actual exhaust and a map conversion.

To settle the records it may sound shady but I am an expereinced builder and a NADC HIPO grad, I was only assisting on this project as the guy wants to do the work himself but A:doesnt want to do things the right way and B; doesnt understand supporting mods C: doesnt want to spend the money on good parts

TO ALL: STAY AWAY FROM TURBO SPECIALTIES!!!!!!

That sounds worse than an ebay kit.
