iirc the reason is because the right side is a straight pipe with no resonator
Right muffler has less sound dampening material than the other. Exhaust air flows more freely to that one, hence it gets dirty faster than the other.
I believe a true dual-exhaust would require 2 separate cats / headers. Each exhausts need to connect up to the cat without splitting off at the Y.
knock on the right side muffler... its hallow i think its the right side lol either way only one side i hallow...

^ I'm aware that only the left is a muffler, but the right is just a can. I'm wondering if there are any benefit performance wise besides more noise?
