Default 06ISDriver's intake Dyno TESTED!

I am pretty pleased with how this turned out. I did 3 stock runs and 3 runs with my intake with a cool down between each.

First stock 257 max
Second stock 262 11.4 afr
Third stock 260 11.3 I think

First w/intake 266
Second w/intake 266

After seeing that the afr's were WAY richer (11.0~) than the stock runs we figured we'd let it run for a second to try and sort out the new airflow. We let it idle for 2 minutes or so and then gave it another shot.

Well, it leaned it out by only .2 (11.2) but it picked up almost 271 on the final run with GREAT gains across the entire rpm range.

I am pretty pleased. All of my calculation said somewhere between 7-9 based on trap speeds, and I'm just glad to see some actual proof on the dyno too.

I chose the highest stock number simply because the afr's were more similar. FOr some reason it was still much richer than stock overall, but I feel pretty good about that headers/mapecu install I'll be doin in a few weeks. Looks like theres a good bit of room to lean it out and hit 300whp.

Enjoy!

EDIT: ADDED PICTURES

Dyno with full mapecu3,ppe headers, custom exhaust and my intake. You can really here the intake growl when it goes WOT. This was the first run after prelim checks on the MAPECU3. Laid down 280 whp no tune. judging from my previous dyno of 270 with my intake, PPE headers only got me 10 more.

Please note that this is NOT FOR SALE yet and I am not taking orders. The website does not function and is only holding a spot. I do not wish to break any club lexus rules as I am still not a vendor. THis is just an idea of the finish product. It will be VERY similar except plastic injected for the hood seal and probably a choice of anodized colors for the aluminum pipe.

No, sorry no pics right now. I'm really close to getting this out to market though. I cant talk about price or anything on Club Lexus though, as I am not a vendor, yet.

I like where this is headed!

Any clues as to what we can expect the intake to look like though? Is it a tuned aluminum tune connecting to a custom airbox?

yes, aluminum tube, cone filter into completely hood sealed box that opens to the front above the radiator cover line. I found that the sound from the intake really makes its appearance if it just has the smallest of exit paths. And I figured, why not give it another entry way for cool air while moving.

So you'll have the best of both worlds. Sound, power, and BOSS style from TOTAL heat shielding. My design is on PAR with the stock box as far as IATs go.

Understood. How about a video to demo the sound of the intake? No unwanted design ideas will be revealed, and you can capitalize on the interest it will generate from the members here.

One more thought...you should really find an Fsport intake for comparison on the same dyno. It would really help to make the case that you have developed the best available intake system.

Do you think this will make it to full production by next year or so?
