Installed my Takeda Intake
Hey guys, well I'm making more progress. So far I've done my Megan EZ coils, wheels, Exhaust and now my Takeda Intake. It's fun gettin dirty. Waiting on my STB to get shipped, and still need to get my lip painted.
Something to note on the Takeda... The heat shield is missing a hole. There is a ballast I believe for the passenger side headlight that bolts down where the heat shield needs to pass through, and there is no hole for it to go through. So I had to drill one in it. No biggie. Just something for those planning on this intake to know. Other than that pretty straight forward install.
Sound? AWESOME! This intake is throaty and mean sounding. Love it!
So now to some pics...
And all buttoned up... Keepin it clean!

Surely that little heat shield doesnt cover the air inlet snaking its way from the front of the car?
If i woulda researched a little, i would have gotten this rather than my Fujita since this has the "heat shield". Although it is probably nearly negligible haha. Nice pics though, intakes sound awesome on these cars

The heat shield does have an opening for the cool air inlet to blow cool air in directly to the filter. Its actually a pretty nice design. The air filter is suspended between the headlight sidewall, heatshield and of course the left engine cover. Cool air is fed into this created chamber directly through the side of the heatshield just like the stock intake.
