Default Transmission Core Market?

Is there any sort of market for a core transmission? I just pulled the transmission on my 98GS400 and replaced it with a new one. The old one was slipping between 2 & 3 and 3 & 4. I'm fairly certain it won't be any good unless rebuilt. I don't want to take the time to rebuild it (even if I had the skills). Is there a market? Thanks!

I had a gs and aristo auto trans, both in perfect working order with torque convertors, flex plates, oil lines, and all electronics intact. I couldn't get any interest in them trying to sell them for $100-200 each so I put them up for free, and finally got them out of my garage.

I'm not sure how to explain it other than to say that the RPMs went up 500 to 1000 between gears. Had a mechanic tell me that I might need to only replace a few plates or whatever they're called.

Thanks 99.
