Please do, I've been contemplating getting the TSB done. I've heard the noise when releasing the pedal that is being addressed in the TSB, however it's only happened a handful of times, and I don't really feel comfortable with my car being ripped apart by some random tech at Lexus (no offense to them) without good cause.
The sprung disc and updated transmission is almost good enough cause, but if you can post pictures showing the actual differences in the new transmission, that would go (potentially) a long way towards convincing me to get it done.

The trans is bulletproof, its the same part number as the tacoma sr5 6-spd... It can handle more torque than the 350s 2GR...
Also the unsprung clutch is no longer available, now lexus superceeded it with a sprung clutch and revised trans. Theres a TSIB for those of you in pwrtrain warranty. The trans has a reinforced input shaft and counterweights on shift lever mechanism. I just did it to my car and holy crap is it different...

So I guess I still don't know what is different between the 2009-12 RA62 (33030-53270) and the TSB updated RA62 (33050-53370).

I checked into this further, and the changes you spoke of for the transmission (input shaft reinforcements, additional bearings, counterweights on the shift lever), were all done to the 2009+ RA62. My car already has all of those changes.
So I guess I still don't know what is different between the 2009-12 RA62 (33030-53270) and the TSB updated RA62 (33050-53370).

Since I'm already out of warranty and buying a new transmission would kill my bank account, I'm wondering if the new clutch (if it is with a sprung disc) would work with the Fidanza flywheel. I don't see why not.
Is it possible for anyone working at Lexus or anyone who is going to do this TSIB get a picture of the clutch assembly? Thanks in advance!

The clutch disc is the same thickness, except it looks like a conventional clutch. Except the neck on the spline is noticeably shorter.. I had pictures but my phone crapped out....

autotox can i get a copy of that tsb as well.
my transmission is noisy on idle until i push the clutch in. The shifting is not as smooth as i would like it but i love the car. Is getting the transmission TSB done worth it? As far as i know it has everything stock in it. I just do not want any problems in the future. thanks

They have made continuous improvements to the RA62 in the IS250 since it's initial use in the IS250. There are 5 versions I am aware of:
33030-53130 - Initial RA62 for 06 models, used until May, 2006 production. (Replaced by 33030-53190)
33030-53190 - Updated RA62 for 06-08 models, used from May, 2006 production, updated countershaft, changed gear oil specification from GL-4 or 5 to GL-5 only, possibly synchro changes (from what I've heard, no P/N changes). (Replaced by 33030-53310)
33030-53310 - Updated RA62 for 06-08 models, never installed at the factory, change-up after production. Not sure on differences between this and 53190.
33030-53270 - Updated RA62 for 09-12 models, includes updated front input shaft retainer, counter-weights on the shifter mechanism.
33030-53370 - TSB RA62 for 06-11 models, includes all updates from 53270, plus additional changes (unknown), to be used with new sprung clutch disc 31250-33032. Updated clutch disc and transmission dealer-installed only, never installed at the factory. Factory 2012 cars still coming with 33030-53270 transmission and 31250-53050 unsprung clutch disc.
The "new" clutch disc is actually a clutch disc from an old Camry/Celica/MR2/ES250/ES300.

Good info to know, I wonder if they'll honor the TSB on my car. As of now the only sound I hear is the jar of marbles sound which is not very loud but goes away once you step on the clutch pedal.
