Default Questions for guys that ran Nitrous on their GS400 and GS430s...

I'd like to hear about your setups for those that have sprayed their V8 GS's...

I'm looking for details such as:

1. Wet or Dry Shot?
2. Nozzle before or after MAF sensor? (For the dry shot guys or single nozzle wet guys)
3. Shot size?
4. Quarter mile times if tested?
5. Other mods to support spray?

Thanks guys....I'm just doing some research to see what guys have done and their results....I used the search function as well, but I'm wondering if there are some other guys out there who didn't post about using nitrous that have.

Nope....It's my winter project though and I will post a thread when I do end up doing it. I'm looking to do a 100 shot with a custom throttle body spacer plate.

Might want to consider a timing retard on 100 shot. Also need to run cooler, non-platinum plugs.

Dry is the easiest, just drill after the MAF, not too far away-enough space for the gas to disperse in the intake.

There are two types of wet, direct port and combination jet. Direct port involves drilling into the manifold so it's more work.

Generally people will say wet is safer because you shouldn't run the risk of leaning out, some will say wet can be risky because fuel will pool. It's a simple concept, but can be complex in making it safe and reliable.

I've never done it myself, but have researched the hell out of it with actual books and zillions of forum posts from all over the internet. HOWEVER, I started out on my car to eventually install nitrous and installed a wideband O2 sensor so I could better watch what's going on after combustion. I will say actually from my own experience that you should consider a window switch so that you're not spraying below 2,800 RPM and ONLY when your foot is ALL THE WAY down (WOT) on the throttle. The wideband will show you that pressing your foot down 90% does not dump fuel into the engine like 100% WOT does.

Also think about how much power you're adding at each RPM, 100 shot at peak torque range is different than 100 shot at 1,000 RPM- in terms of stress and load on the physical stuff like transmission etc..
