I read that the only IS worth tuning is the IS350 or ISF. im not hating on the dudes who are doing work to the IS250 im just trying to see what your guys are going for wether its speed or just personality.
An axle-back exhaust will add about 7 hp. (they're almost all axle-backs- an exception is something like the Joe Z exhaust- which will net more like 10, though it's illegal in all 50 states).

No intake sold will offer more than ~5 hp (the Joe Z is the best bang/buck there, costing only $125 with a dyno proven 5 hp).

PPE headers will add somewhere in the 15-20 range, though again they're illegal in all 50 states.

The 350 isn't any more "worth" tuning than 250, in that you have the exact same choice of parts, and can expect roughly the same amount of hp gain, on both cars.

It's just that if you cared about hp at all you'd have bought the 350 to begin with, since for ~$4000 you can add 102 hp with factory parts...versus buying a 250 and dropping $3000 on the Joe Z exhaust, PPE headers, and intake, to only gain about 30 hp.

Nope.

That said if you slap the $5 sticker on it I suspect most places won't know the difference.

But technically it's not legal.
