Default gs 400 twin turbo Srt 2weeks?

Just called SRT was told 2 weeks before they would have the Twin Turbo, and that they didn't do the supercharger any more. ??

Does this mean SRT doesn't market the SC anymore or that they don't R&D it anymore? I can find it for sale at several place online.

Last post on the turbo was some time anyone have it as a daily driver. How long to install $$$$

Ethan, David, Dex, any moderator. Since SRT is a sponser of CL, can one of you please contact them and get to the bottom of this? There have been several posts of this same info. Do they have a clueless individual answering the phone, or are they really not making the SC anymore?

no, not really. first AgGS400 says that Marken pm'd him saying "there are no plans to drop the supercharger at this time".
then marken comes on with a cryptic "We will review the status of the supercharger line in the very near future & inform the public of the decision made."
sounds to me like they are considering it. i hope they know what they are doing, dropping a product that a much larger market segment can afford in favor of another product out of reach pricewise for most of us.

I was told by SRT last month they were no longer selling the SC for the GS. Look's like Mr. Johnson GS400 is one of the lucky few.

BTW Mr. Johnson has his FOR SALE.

Unhappy

I was also told by mohammad that they are no longer installing or selling the Supercharger kits anymore. That the only option would be to do a TT setup which will cost $30,000.00 plus tax for the complete setup. I think that there outlook for the GS market should be to offer a cost effective solution or continue to offer the SC. I hope everyone agrees.

I just got off the phone with a tech @ SRT. "no super chargers at this time all effort is in the turbos" $30,000 and send your car in for 2 months for the install. Hell I will sell my GS for $28,0000 and take $30,000 and buy a used turbo porsche 911.@$#@^

If this is all true....

All I can say is "SRT, you suck."

I will take it back when you have $5,000 turbo kits for GS4.

R

I mean SRT already spent the $$ on R&D. Why not keep bringing it. I have som SERIOUS doubts about the business side of SRT...must have gotten a mail order degree in business admin.

I've seen some very respected german Porsche tuners ask Waaaaaaay more for a TT setup for the current 996. $50000 is in the neighbourhood of what they are asking so the SRT setup looks like a deal to me.

Well think about it, for $30,000 added to a Supra you could have ONE HELL of a Supra. Faster than a TT GS.

And you can laugh in my face all you want and say "I still drive a Lex" but I'll be too far ahead of you to even laugh at me.

A local tuner FVD and Autobahn Perforamnce offer a Twin Turbo Setup for my 99 996 for $23,000 installed. That will put 580RWHP on my vehicle. So I do not think the Lexus TT is a deal at all. You are comparing Apples to Oranges. The 996 would @#$! all over the TT gs400 setup. For $30,000.00 I could have 720RWHP on the 996. You tell me what the better deal is? Not to mention the fact that SRT does not even warranty their work for a year. That puts a bad taste in my mouth. I think everyone on this board will attest to that.
