Default SRT turbo or SC? Which would you buy?

Let's help SRT keep the SC going!

I don't know exact costs but just trying to get an idea for SRT what product is more popular.

15K for 550RWHP TT setup? Where did you get that info from? I think the front number might be a 3, possibly a 2, but 1........I think not. I'll give Mo a call tomorrow to double check.

Even if the TT setup WAS 15, I think the SC would be more popular. THAT is the point I am trying to make.

SUPER CHARGER

Reason 1 5000-9000 depending on what stage and HP

Turbo 30,000

I can buy a crate engine for 10k and get 700HP out of it for another 5k and have it all installed and tuned for under 5k thats 700HP for 20k brand new everything. 30,000 is outragous.

AgGS400, cool. Gotcha.

DrRick, I can truly understand what you are saying. Really. However, keep in mind that a TT setup on the GS is supposed to be very selective. Hence the premium price tag. This is exactly the same thing you would get if you went to John Hennessey for a Venom 800 or to Lingenfelter for TT Vette. Is 120K+ for a Venom 800 a "fair" price, when I can get a 93+ used supra for mid 20's, drop 20-30K in it and abuse the viper all day? The point I'm trying to make is that there is more than just the two turbos and an intercooler to SRT's TT setup for the GS. There isn't really a rational way to describe this. It does not fit into any category either. You might say, it is something similar to a feeling a ferrari owner gets when he takes delivery of his $200K+ machine, or the satisfaction one receives from immediate attention when he's cruising down the highway. You can say that it is the sole idea of defying the always existant compromise between performance and luxry. Everyone has their reasons and no one said they have to be rational......

SC for me. I like the drivability of the SC at low speeds.

I agree with that...but I am living in reality and my reality doesn't allow for a huge grip to be blown on TT.

Late.

Default SC over TT

My last minute lifestyle does not allow for proper warm up and cool down of a tempermental turbo, regardles of the extra HP. I like the SC.

How about a third option, NOS? I'm at 60K and look forward to an eventual engine rebuild. Well, I don't look forward to it, but when it happens I'll get it rebuilt right.

Skip JH viper/anything. He's got a real bad rep now. Check the viper and corvette forums for details.

Actually, I was thinking thats almost a used LX470(which I would love to have for a daily driver)....
Id just leave my GS as is....... washed, waxed, fully detailed, and asleep in my garage to be used on weekends to cruise....
Why owuld SRT quit offering the SC to those of us who see it as a reality in our futures???? Doesnt make sense......
