I've had
Axle backs: Lexus HKS, tanabe, greddy, f-sport, Megan drift spec.
Mid pipes: Megan, invidia, & 4 custom mip-pipes.
I've crossed installed most of them. If your ONLY concern is aesthetics, then the tanabe is your best option. Acoustically, it's the worst IMO.

Wrong!!!!! hahaha have you forgotten how long its been since we've last kicked it joe?
A LOT has changed. hahaha.
The best CATBACK setup for our cars is the Joe-Z Street version PTS exhaust. It is not my exhaust of choice, as I have a different setup myself because I could never afford to buy it at any of the times I was changing up my setups, but I have driven a members car to and from palm springs and while staying for the weekend. If I would have known, I would have left my exhaust stock back in 2008 and saved up all the money I've spent on all the exhaust setups. Since then, instead of spending a little amount of money a lot of times, I should have save up & bought the Joe-Z from the get go.
I think this is the best over all setup for 3 main reasons.
I have noticed three things people look for in an exhaust on CL.
The Joe-Z street version has all THREE. Its the ONLY Cat-back(and axle-back for that matter) that has all three.
On top of that it It has the 2nd most power gains coming second to the race version of the same exhaust. But people hardly look for power gains when modding a 2IS, so this is a HUGE bonus for someone like me that does.

- It is aesthetically pleasing.
- Bolt on.
- One of the best(but not THE best, but thats just my opnion) exhaust note for our cars. Its not out of control loud, but at the same time not a mute either. Also has no rasp or drone which is SO HARD to accomplish on our cars.

I personally love my HKS Hi-Power and Invidia midpipes, both bought from TeamSNS (vendor) who gave me a great deal on both items.
Otherwise, I would run Invidia midpipes and axleback, which will mostly sound very good as well and be a little cheaper than running HKS Hi-Power.
Tanabe and Greddy SE tends to be quieter. I think the Invidia axle back will have a similar sound level as the F-sport (HKS branded) exhaust.
Good luck with your choice =)
