I've dealt with both AEM EMS standalone and GReddy Emanage piggy back on my boosted AP2. It was straight forward and tuning was painless. I hope MAP ECU3 works well for you.
Are you planning to go supercharged or turbo?

It's already installed and working......
I dunno which method I take yet. Turbo I think would be cheaper, but supercharger would have instant response. I dunno yet.
It's gonna be a bit though. I'm gonna acquire the parts over time, when I decide which way I'm goin

(he's the source for it taking hundreds of hours- and he does toyota/lexus engine swaps for a living- and the fact you won't get rid of all the dash lights (VSC/TC will never work for example))

Oh, and about the turbo "lag"...it's all up to the specific turbo you get. BB, smaller exhaust housing, etc to help increase lower-end spool.

Ever driven or riden in an aftermarket/custom fitted turbocharged vehicle? Man, there's nothing like it! Maybe it's just my personal perference from experience...but coming a turbo 423whp FWD Civic I'm perhaps bias. LOL! The sound of the open downpipe, open wastegate dump, and Greddy Type S BOV FTW! The good 'ol days! LOL

I highlighted your problem for you.
Torque steer sucks.
Plus, with an engine larger than a mountain dew bottle, you can make 423 without needing forced induction :P

Front wheel drive sucks man. It is not something you should strive to make power on. RWD or AWD, leave the wrong wheel drive econoboxes for the teenagers to drive to high school.
Also, greddy S blow off valves suck. TiAl or go home.

Don't take it personally, but the T-shirt I used to wear when I took my >500hp Impala to the track was this:
On the front in medium lettering:
"It's just a fact"
On the back in large lettering:
YOUR
HONDA
SUCKS

Well....
You can't, as they don't exist.
Your engine has a 12:1 compression ratio and very limited options for any sort of tuning.
Plus, it makes no financial sense as an IS350 is only about 4k more and adds 102 hp.... any forced induction kit costs more and adds considerably less power to a 250.
For example there's one guy in Greece (where they don't sell 350s) who adapted the IS350 LMS supercharger kit to his car- he added considerably less than 102 hp and spent considerably more than the difference between a 250 and a 350.
LMS doesn't sell their kit anymore, because even on a 350 it made little sense (about 6k for 40-50 hp).
