How has your mapecu3 situation gone for you? I was curious about your entire combination and what pointers you have making it all work with the mapecu3.

who said it was unheard of? Multiple people have hit over 300whp all N/A, a buddy of mine hit 321whp on his 2021 is350 aswell, its definitely doable

Yes headers ( at least "shorties" ) give these 3.0-3.5L engines around 10HP tops but in the lower rpm range it may be 8-10ft lb increase starting very low. It's not a ton, but you will feel it.

Do you know what the combo was for the 321rwhp out of 2GR? What was the torque?

Old post, but grinding the injector bosses almost flat in the lower intake is worth 5-6rwhp, it's worth torque across the curve. A cheap easy gain.

The 2GR-FE is a transverse mounted V6 used only in FWD applications.... certainly you could convert it to fit/work in a RWD car... but I'm not sure why you would. If bothering to do an engine swap for power why wouldn't you swap in a way stronger RWD engine like a 2JZ-GTE?
500 to 600rwp with forced induction has already been done on 2gr. The connecting rods are 30% thicker at the minimum cross section than 1mz/3mz rods. 1mz/3mz rods start bending at 400 to 450 engine HP. So the 2gr rods have been proven to a little over 600hp. Will they make 800hp? Probably not. The pistons won't either. But for a 400 to 550 whp forced induction setup you are perfectly safe.

Don't know what the torque was, I know the quarter mile time was in the low 12's if I'm not wrong. I do know what his mod list was tho.

Gutted headers, ported tb and intake manifolds, true dual fully catless, upgraded pulleys, cai, and a D3 flash tune

HI, what are pulleys gaining? I wasn't really hearing about pulleys in the platform. On some of the v8's i'm familiar with they can gain 8-12whp or so.

Would love to see the dyno sheets and drag slip.

low 12s with bolt ons and a tune sounds pretty made up to me.

How is that made up when there are multiple running 12's? Plus it wasn't just bolt ons, he was completely FBO, literally everything possible without opening the motor or going forced induction.
Mind you this was with the 3.76 gear ratio, he was AWD, but still in the "4IS" chassis.

They don't necessarily "gain" horsepower, it frees up horsepower, meaning it is less restricted. But on the dyno, it adds 8-15 whp from what I've seen and from what other people have shown.

Frankenstein motorworks does it in this video:

The injector bosses intrude into the air stream. They nearly flatten them out with a grinder for the 5-6rwhp gain.
