So i reached almost 115k and i know we can't get a tranny flushed, but shop said they can do tranny service which would just drain and refill 20-30% of the fluid.
Is it worth doing it? and how much would be a fair price to pay?
Shop said its 2-3 hour procedure, probably most of the time is just waiting fluid to drain lol, and they wanted like $250 can't remember the numbers now..

At 115k I doubt he's too worried about his warranty. ![Stick Out Tongue](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Interestingly, you can do a full (or near full) flush now...
was a thread about this a month or two ago... someone finally designed the part that Lobuxracer predicted several years ago- An aftermarket fluid exchange attachment in the same size/shape as the heat exchanger built into the side of the transmission.... so they swap your heat exchanger for this part, then use it to flush/fill the transmission, then swap the parts back... not the easiest thing in the world but it should work.
Mind you Lexus still doesn't ever suggest actually doing this, but it's at least physically possible now.

I've seen so many threads on this, with people trying to be sold transmission fluid drain-and-fills from dealerships. I think I read on one that in Canada, the Scheduled Maintenance Guide actually calls for this on the 2IS, but in the US it decidedly does not (at least for the 2007). So I would immediately be wary of anything a dealership tries to sell that isn't actually called for in the Lexus maintenance guide.

In Canada I wanna say even they dropped the "change your tranny fluid" thing a year or two ago... I think maybe Jeff Lange mentioned it?
