Default Help!! Is250 awd exhaust question

Hey guys I'm planning on getting a Greddy SP exhaust for my 2006 IS250 AWD and I called Greddy and they have no idea if their exhaust will fit my AWD because their exhaust are all tested on RWD. Does anyone know if it makes a difference whether its AWD and the exhaust system is axle back. Thanks in advance for your help

axle back wouldnt matter for either rwd or awd. only full exhaust would because youll be changing the midpipe and possibly headers as well.

laobo979 and xnfsx are right. I took my axle back off of an 06' IS250 AWD and put it on an 06' IS350 RWD. There is no difference for axle back. I actually think the midpipes are the same too, but would have to do a little research on that one.

they're not.

that's why several companies make a midpipe for RWD models, and none make one for AWD

(ditto on headers)

Why did you post a link back to this same thread....lol

Anyway, as Kurtz says, the midpipe and headers are different.

How do I know? I have a IS250 AWD and was looking at exhaust systems for our cars too.

This might be a stupid question, but why can't you use headers and a mid pipe from a rwd spec? The engine is the same.

It's not the engine that is the issue, but more of the AWD components that create clearance issues.

Someone was able to fit the Megan RWD midpipe onto their AWD by cutting and adding a bend to one of the piping that didn't line up on the driver's side (that thread goes into more detail there).
