If someone could quickly clarify this for me, I'd appreciate it...

The GS did NOT come factory with an LSD--just a D with 3.2X gears, right? The Supra TT auto unit is a 3.76 LSD that will bolt right in. Better gearing with limited slip=better grip. This upgrade saves only 0.2 seconds off a 0-60, primarily because on the extra gear change to 3rd. This swap is the same for 400 and 430 models.

Also, a torque converter upgrade complements this, right? Will this cut any 0-60 time?

I'll keep searching in the meantime...

Matt
ABSOLUTELY! Trust me I have both the 3.76 LSD and the PI TC and when my 19's were on (now my stocks are on for the winter) my launch would be so hard as compared to my GS400 before. My estimate would be another .4 - .5 off the 0-60 mark. I think the magazines are a little too liberal when they say 5.7 seconds 0-60. I feel it's more like 5.9-6.0 seconds 0-60. So with these two upgrades combined you should be around 5.3! Add some hi-flowing headers and a tunable A/F controller (SAFC-II / NEO) and you WILL SEE probably 5.0 (maybe less to 60). Not too shabby for an N/A Lexus V8!

Not only that it forces you to shift into 4th in the 1/4 mile.

Thanks, guys! I wonder if a sticky for all of the known go-fast bolt-on items for a NA GS4 would be cool...with short explanations and the benefits/downfalls of each. Maybe it's been done already. I'll try starting a new thread and see what people think.
