Default New F-Sport Exhaust...Old Stock....

Is there any value to the old stock exhaust? Taking the plunge with F-Sport and wondering if I should ask for, keep and try to sell the stock? But if it's not worth much - it won't be worth it.
It's coming off a 2011.

+1 - If you can spare the room I would keep the stock exhaust until you sell the car, when you can take off the F-Sport and sell it for something and put the stock back on.

Your car is valued more with its original equipment so if you decide to sell the car, taking off the exhaust and selling it with its original exhaust would have a higher value than one with an f-sport exhaust. This applies even if the exhaust is an OEM part. It's the fact it's put on after the factory production that makes the car's value drop. And value wise, it's not worth much. Fellow forum members sometimes give these away for free.

I will add if you ever got rear ended with your current exhaust, you can always have the body shop throw back on your stock one and keep the cash for the f-sport exhaust from your insurance if you wished. Just make sure you keep your f-sport exhaust invoice/receipt.

I sold my 2011 stock exhaust for $80. You should keep it or sell it if you don't have the room to keep it.

Stock exhausts are usually sold for super cheap - and a lot of times even given away from free.

If you are getting the f-sport I'd get rid of the oem one - it'll just waste space at your flhouse/apartment/garage.

Damn that's a good price... they usually go for around 20 bucks or free. Not many people are willing to pay...

I tried selling my 2010 stock exhausts which was only used for 1000 miles for 50 bucks. The guy told me to take a walk

like what people are saying... I'm keeping mine in my garage as a wall art.

Not worth selling stock exhaust if you have the room to keep it, and have the tools to change it out yourself.

You'll likely get much more by returning car to stock and selling your used f-sport exhaust than you would for the total received for selling stock + "modded exhaust" value.

Some people have cut the pipes so it's not one huge piece to store. Then if needed, the pipes can be rewelded back together so it's one piece again.
