I don't know about the boost numbers, but the suction that it creates should be strong enough to remove cash, credit cards, jewelry and other precious stuff from several people

A very ambitious project, yes... Months ago we saw ticklers on their 2JZ kits. Has anyone actually turboed a 99+ GS300 with the Swift Kit? Any members on the board with this kit on their GS? The price/performance numbers won't make the GS4 kit effective against the GS3kits, but its interesting to see them try.

If I could have a turn key solution for the GS3, get around 325rwhp for $4000 installed, I'd jump at an 03 GS3 and send it over to Swift. (that's close to what they were advertising) I'm just not convinced yet. Seems nobody has really touted success (yet). I want to see mileage on these, durability, kits not falling apart, dyno sheets, track visits, etc. It takes alot more than a vendor's announcement and a few pictures to convince the general ClubLexus population.

Jeff, agreed. By the way, there's a few turbo'd GS300's around... I asked about this before, maybe a search on here will pull up the owners again.

By the way, I think we met at NOPI last year, with Mike (1SickLex).

Your car is AWESOME. Probably more awesome since I saw it.

Ok fine, but I have seen ZERO people on the board with the Swift kit for 99+ GS300 (other than a Swift employee boasting about its performance).

Why doesn't anyone on this board have any experience with this kit? Surely not because of price. Its priced very competitively.

Well, I haven't seen the SRT GS300 turbo, but I have seen their IS300 turbo.

Relax a bit. Let's not get into the I have a bigger %$%^ than you. Yes, you do own a very nice and fast lex. Even ICE-T thinks so.

and toyomoto has been dealing with turbos on lexus's for over 10 years now......and srt has had ....umm..uhh...a couple months?....because the s/c kit didnt make much power?..oh..ok..just checking.......
and uhm....10 years and still no Turbo for the GS....and uh...yea...just checking. Lol. And to date I haven't heard of one horror story with SRT kits. This speaks very good for reliability. Something a few Toyomoto's customers were left with to desire. Also, pm Mr. Johnson about SRT SC's not making power But let's get into this business praising/defending as my original comment was a joke. You know, "JK=Just kidding."

Toyomoto has a reputation for building great cars
I agree. But every now and then comes the new guy around the block who gives the oher guys a run for their money. That is if you want SRT to be the "guy" and call them "new."

trying to be friendly....although it isnt deserved...but im trying....
Thank you for your pity and much undeserved kindness. Please do your best to continue to be nice.

As far as the tranny shifting goes. They have already corrected the dip in power curve due to the tranny shifting "inabilities" on the GS/IS line, which in itself might have discouraged several companies from making turbo/sc kits for the GS. Check out their dynos for the GS3/IS3 power curves to see what I'm talking about. It is only logical to assume that this will also be taken care of for the GS4 which will come with a little more bang. I guess we will have to see.

Having said what I said to this point, I'm probably going to refrain from commenting here before SRT decides to put up some figures and info. I am not a spokesperson for them nor do I get paid to defend them. I can understand that there are a lot of different issues as well as feelings involved here (happiness, hate, joy, threat, uncertainity, anxiety, etc...) that I cannot possibly address. This goes for everyone including myself. When I sit back and look at this thread, it seems like SRT has received an enormous response to this announcement and their marketing strategy is working out. Nothing sells more than controversy. Lol. Now, let's give them some time and see if they deliver...

Sweet. Can't wait for the 5XX 1bar dyno results , but I think this should be enough to silence the "skeptics." Now, since the power issue has been answered, they will have to focus on something different to complain about. Cough* price *cough.

PS. How do you like SRT now?

Here is a quick comparison of a BPU+++ Supra and Directed Engineering Street Single Supra. All done on pump gas. This is for comparison sakes only as figures will always vary and are dependant on other factors such as humidity, temp, etc....

The BPU+++ Supra and the GS400 were dynoed on a Dynojet and the DE Single Street Supra was done on WinPEP.

DE Street Single Supra Dyno http://www.directedengineering.com/images/534_med.jpg

Here all three dynoes combined.

Here are the #'s on which the combined dyno was based.

At 1bar, I have a feeling the SRT GS will have a power curve "to die for." Also, I can hear the cats screaming "Let us go, let us go." Lol. The turbos are good for 720RWHP. Who knows, maybe a 700RWHP GS with an insanely quick spool is not in too distant future.
