If there's a way I can "change the computer" in my IS350 to get an additional 100 HP, I DEFINITELY want to know how to do that.

I'd really like to see someone run over 7 psi on stock compression for more then a few days...piggyback, standalone or magic chip our compression is sky hiiiiiiigh

well I found a ball bearing gt40 for sale in the local forums that would make for a nice rear mount setup.....just gotta get it going.

I definitely dont think you'll be seeing ANYONE with sustained boost levels above 7 psi without doing internal strengthening. The motor just isnt going to handle it.

And no one thought that with pencil thin rods in SOHC Civic motors could reliably sustain 300whp...but my friend did it, DD'ing no less, and drag racing it on Thursdays all summer! All on a VAFC hack too, no "real" tuning.

To be honest, we will not know the limits of the stock motor on stock compression until someone does it on a "good" tune. I still believe that if one was to run E-85, that det would be limited enough to run over the magically 7psi #. But who knows...someone is bound to step-up and try it one day.

I'm likely to stay S/C'd.. I just dont know how you'll handle open loop tuning on the car with a turbo.

I agree with that! And as these cars become worth less and less in value hopefully more people will start playing with the motor. I'm just not there yet....I dont want to drive my Camry every day while I wrench on the IS350.

GTM tuning has the path to running higher boost atleast for the HKS GT S/C kit.

I can send them my S/C and they will tune it for more CFM and 15 psi of boost. Only issue is really fuel duty cycle's on the DI injectors.

I'm already seeing 70% on 7.8psi

So I can only push 10psi at 100% duty -- You can't run stock injectors at much more than 80% duty. The fuel pressure starts to drop off fast.
E85 would allow me to reach the 10psi mark on stock injector and stay @ 80% duty but I'll only pick up 50whp.. So I'd be close to 425 at the wheels.

NOBODY!!!! makes an aftermarket DI injector that fits the 2GR-FSE heads.

So that means full standalone and port injector only. We all know the issues with a full EMS.

Trust me I've been wanting to blow the 2GR-FSE up in my IS350 for some time. Just to see the OEM limits which I think is @ 475-500 whp. I just have no way to get the fuel to support anything close to that.
Everything else is in place to hit some good numbers

S/C ---- Check
HKS EMS ---Check
GTM ---- S/C Tune $1000 --- Check
Fuel ---- FAIL

Idea's ???

In my diesel days, stock fuel injectors could be modified (even DI ones) for more flow.
Is this a no-go here HKS?
