I LOVE my E-shift !!
Kinda embarrasing though to be driving-with the family-in 3rd on the street and then punch the wrong button (down to 2nd instead of up to 4th) "Um, I actually meant to do that dear".

I lived in the power mode, that is untill I put the blower on which killed the mileage, due to my driving style. Then they let gas get over 2.00 per gallon. So for the last 4 months I have been in normal

If the power mode really advances timing it seems like it would be way more noticable with a blower or turbo. Have you FI guys noticed that?

Maybe I didn't read the owner's manual in a detailed manner. But what exactly DOES the Power mode do? Allow higher shifts? Adjust gear ratios? Drop overdrive?

What exactly does the snow mode do? I tested it out and know that it gives you absolutely no power at all. But HOW does it do it? I remember that I had really open the throttle to get it going.

Can someone explain the settings in a mechanical/electrical manner?

Snow mode the car starts off in second gear first is locked out, this is supposed to keep the tire spin to a minimum.

Powermode as I read it has the transmission shifting more aggressibely plus you can also reach higer RPM's before it shifts.

Is that the only thing snow mode does? I remember feeling sluggish when I was going 30+ MPH. If the snow mode's only function is to start the car in 2nd gear, I shouldn't be feeling any sluggishness when I'm travelling at a higher speed.....but for some reason, I remember that I did.

I've tried comparing power and normal mode (keep tran in drive) and I see the max rpm on the 1st to 2nd shift are exaclty the same on my 430 (a hair before 6,000) Is it just my car or anyone else experiance the same thing? Also, I'm going to see if there's any difference after my 3.76 lsd gets installed next Tuesday.

If I manually shift my GS430 and let the gears stretch out a little bit, it is like a whole different car
