I'm with you jbrady and agree PWR mode makes downshifts easier. Between PWR mode, the 2800rpm TC and the shorter final gear due to my Torsen diff, the gas pedal on my car is practically a hair trigger to downshift.
You think?I have a 2800 and shorter gears and I feel like mine falls on its face on those last few rpms.I also think it is just hitting the rev limiter before shifting due to the gears. If it is its just hitting the limiter before it shifts but not cutting out.
Snow mode certainly helps when its ICY out, there is certainly less power... get a lot less torque and less wheel spin. Have not really floored it around two in the other mode.
I keep mine in Power mode most of the time with the traction off. Oh, BTW the guys with the 3.76 gears, why do some people exerience hitting the rev limiter and some do not??? Also, what can you do if your car is one of the unfortunate few that hit the rev limiter??? I just got my LSD and haven't installed it yet.
Some of us with FI and the stock gearing also bounce off the limiter. To my knowledge there is nothing we can do that is a sure fire soluition for everyone.
wow, im at work reading this..and now..pwr mode all the way...i just thought that it would mess up my tranny or shorten the life of my baby...but i guess not.

Morris- what about something like a RaceLogic traction control system? I heard this is the solution (albeit, an expensive one) for the IS FI crowd.
