The kit required some mod's to the bumper to work. The Passenger side piping was easy and so was setting the FMIC. The throttle body side was a fuggin royal pain in the ***, they sent me the wrong piping and couplers. Luckily I save almost anything extra from previous swaps and was able to fab up something that would work really well. So in my honest opinion, It was well worth the money spent. If they had sent me the correct pipe it would have been sweet! But oh well, when you order from overseas you don't always get the correct stuff. Especially when it comes from China. Not trying to sound racist but we all know the quality of stuff that does from there. Sometimes you get a sweet deal, sometimes you get a kick in the *****.

Ok, so far its been one week of driving on the GTE and its done well. Im only having one small issue. I need to replace my coil packs. Im having a small misfire when at WOT. Its intermittent and only happens sometimes. I remember my SR doing this. My question is, will the coil packs from the GE vvt-i work on the GTE vvt-i? If they do Ill just use the ones off my N/A engine because I know they work fine. Plus they are only 2 years old. thanks!!!

Yes the coilpacks are interchangeable. I am running the packs off my GE, no problem.

What plugs and gaps u running? Did you do the 12v fuel pump mod?

Im running the stock denso plugs that were in the car. I cleaned them up as they looked to be in good shape. Im going to order the same plugs tomorrow from NAPA or Auto Zone. Not sure of the gap, I did not mess with or adjust the gap when i was cleaning them. I did completely clean the coil packs and the looked almost brand new when i reinstalled them. I stored them in some old ESD bags I had on my parts shelf while they were not in the car. Im just thinking that they are a bit old, as with the plugs. So im sure once I switch them out the random miss with go away. Ill search for the 12 volt mod too. Or do you have a link?
Oh and I finally took her out on the High Way today!!! Not bad for 11 psi. And the 2.5 inch restrictor I installed seems to be providing enough back pressure as well. No over boosting!

Default RPM question

Just wondering, I know the transmission is now a 4 speed. Is RPM's normally this high when doing highway speeds? Ad what the hell is the deal with the 65 mph cruise control limit?LOL is there a way to adjust that?? Thankyou

Your high rpm is from the gs 3.92 rear gear, the aristo rear is 3.76 and would bring it down a little.

Would you happen to have a pic of the 12v mod? Or a link? Im going to try it this weekend as well as the spark plug and coil pack installation.

Ok, here is a pic of the unit, it is located behind the carpet in the back of the trunk down near the driver side shocktower behind the seat, you can fold down the carpet enough to get to it.

Black/red = Battery into fuel ecu +12
Blue/red = Variable Fuel pump +9/12 out
Blue/white = Ground to pump
White/black = Ground from Chassis

The to small wires are the signal wires to and from the ecu to operate the voltage switchover.

You can just remove the ecu and connect the two positive and two negative together, the small signal wires can just be taped off and don't worry about them.

Keep in mind the Aristo did come with the same fuel pump ecu, so this really should not be an issue if running a stock pump. But I did a swap for a guy and the car would hesitate some like it wasn't getting fuel and after the mod it ran much better and the hesitation went away, also if using a Walbro or DW pump a steady full voltage is recommended.

OK, so on saturday i pulled out the old denso plugs and went with some NGK BKR6E's and gapped them to .0044 or 1.1mm. I changed out one coil pack as well. The car now runs great with no miss at all any more. However......I am having a strange whining noise coming from the after market intake cone. When ever I punch it it whines or just rev it up it does it. I put my ear near the intake cone and it coming from that. Kinda strange. Im wondering if it could be the stock BOV starting to take a crap.

Also I get a back fire now after a WOT pull.... any ideas??
