98 gs300 aristo swap!!!!

OK, so on saturday i pulled out the old denso plugs and went with some NGK BKR6E's and gapped them to .0044 or 1.1mm. I changed out one coil pack as well. The car now runs great with no miss at all any more. However......I am having a strange whining noise coming from the after market intake cone. When ever I punch it it whines or just rev it up it does it. I put my ear near the intake cone and it coming from that. Kinda strange. Im wondering if it could be the stock BOV starting to take a crap.
Also I get a back fire now after a WOT pull.... any ideas??

Seriously did you not hear the noise before the plug/pack swap?
You can pull the vac hose off the bypass valve and see if it makes any difference. Or remove the valve and plug the hoses to see if the sound was air leaking past the valve.
Obviously I'm not on stock twins or injectors so it's a bit different, but when running similar boost as you are and just riding on a 11.5 spring and no boost controller I was using BKR's gapped at .030 with great results.

You sure it's not just the turbos you hear?

Fuel Gauge Reading Update
So I know the fuel gauge reading has been an issue for some people after doing the swap. Well I would like to let everyone know that since I installed the Aristo fuel pump assembly I have had no issue's. The gauge runs down normally and I get the fuel light to come on. Fill up and go with no issues. So I know a lot of people use the JPK or the bulk head fitting set up on the stock pump assembly. Id recommend checking ebay for a 2nd gen Aristo pump assembly. It seems to work like normal.

Loose hose would have contributed to back fire as well. You would have been blowing out air that was metered by the maf so it was still dumping fuel.
.044 gap is pretty large for a boosted motor. If you still have misses, I'd drop it to 0.36 or .032.

Thanks, Love it but not in love with it haha, I have another RHD car so this 147 is disposable to be if you know what i mean ha. No its still twins. All stock with the exception of the warbo 255 fuel pump. Fun to drive, turns heads like whoa
