Talking Twin Turbo GS400 Dyno Result/Review

Ok, folks here are my dyno results at 11psi. I didn't want to go any further with increasing the boost until later on down the road (like at the end of the month). I am keeping it there right now, but the turbos definitely have more power in them at higher boost. My review will come after the pics....

nah, i dont think that was ever an expectation of SRT or its TT customers. i think the mark was more along the lines of 500 rwhp. oh course that equates to over 600 at the crank:eek:

I don't think Mo ever said it will hit 800HP. I have mentioned that my goal down the road would be 800HP. An 800HP (600RWHP with a 25% loss) is definitely possible with connecting rods and few adjustments. The turbos are good for 720RWHP. I think going from a 240RWHP to 500RWHP will be good enough for now I know Lee already has a few impressive kills *cough Z06 under his belt

As you can see I am running at 11psi, and getting 437.4 rwhp/458lbs of Torque. How does that feel????
I had the Stage 2.5 SC in this same car previously.

I really don't feel any turbo lag, which I would say is because of the V8 spooling it up fast. The power hits hard, and the shifting?!?!??! OH MAN!!! It is SMOOTH!!!! Not like the SC, where it would hit the limiter in 2nd, 3rd, and sometimes 4th gear.
The shifting from 2nd to 3rd is smooth (but you do have to easy off before 6.5K rpm), but after that, it is WOT, baby! I was at 70 mphs and WOT it, and the tires lost grip! Now, that is torque for ya!

Some comparisons:

My car: V-8 SRT TT 437.4 rwhp/458lbs@11psi (NOT adjusted)
Dodge Viper 2002: V-10 450 bhp/490 lbs (adjusted)
Corvette Z06 2002: V-8 405bhp/385 lbs (adjusted)
BMW M5 2002: V-8 400bhp/369 lbs (adjusted)
2003 Mustang Cobra V-8/SC 390 hp/390 lbs (adjusted)

Yes, I did eat up a new red Z06 on the highway! LOL
I was going about 70mph in the fast lane, and see the distinctive tail of the Z06 (with a Z06 chrome badge near the tailpipes). So I flash him to "Move B... Get out the way!". Of course he stays in the lane, then gets over quickly so I can pass him, then he gets behind me. Wrong move dude! I hit it, felt the tires give a little, but I ride it, and see the smoke as the turbos hit hard!!!! I basically had 3-4 lengths on him, before I shut it down! And what does he do???? The petty "fly by". I was about to get in that butt, but he turned off. lol First kill and its a Z06! Gotta love it!

I know the car is capable of another 30-35% of HP max. We dynoed the car all together over 130 times. But again, this is not a Supra, or sports car. I think of it as a Super Sports Sedan. I am not all about having the most HP in the world, I'll leave that to the Supra/Supra clone guys, but thats just me. Don't get me wrong, I am NOT finished yet. I will finally stop at 15psi, and believe me that WILL be over 500 at the rear (I know this for a FACT with my car, BUT lets just stick with the 11psi reading! <hint hint> LOL) This is the HP/TQ I left the shop with....

I just like the fact that I can leave most cars in my exhaust fumes, and still have my luxury. But don't get me wrong, I will be hunting from time to time.

LMAO. He pulled the GM pass on you. I wonder what must have been going through his head as he saw that GS take away. ->

Awesome! Can't wait to see what it really puts out at 14.7 psi

BTW, doesn't the 25% drivetrain loss apply to torque too?
