Higher compression modified engines or big turbo engines can have varying benefits from different types of plugs and plug gaps to help improve idling or spark blowout, but a stock engine (intake and exhaust don't count) should just be using the proper denso or equivalent plug.

To be a little off topic.
Can someone link to me the cheapest price on NGK iridium's?
Or is Advanced Auto and all the other chains about the same price?
edit: And better than OEM plug wires? I would want to go thicker than OEM.....

Here is a 5% coupon: 86109267092539 just paste it in the 'where did you hear about us" field. (expires may 6 2012, but another will be released on the 7th, as there is always a valid 5% code available)
The GS has coilpacks so there are no sparkplug wires (well the wasted spark jump wires, but they are part of the pack) The stock coilpack system can push 800+hp no problem so no reason to upgrade. If anything an ignition amp like the HKS DLI is what is used to boost the output, or some people have switched to the jza80 COP packs, but the difference from the WS triple pack setup is arguably marginal if they are in good condition.
I ran iridium on the stock engine and it ran fantastic, but once boosted I've ran iridium and copper, and the coppers idle smoother and the engine runs noticeably stronger with the copper, but that's just my particular car, lots of people run iridium on their boosted cars just fine.

shipping usually can be the killer in terms of price, so you maybe better off buying from the same source for all the products you need and thinking of other things you might use in the future..
but yea, google is your friend; you got to put in some effort into it...

Here's what you do.
Go to www.sparkplugs.com. Look up all the possible plugs you could use.
The put each of those part numbers into Search of this forum, and find the threads that talked about that plug.
But I'll sum it up for you. Everyone with a pretty much stock car is going to say sparkplug "x" worked great for me; so pretty much everyone self-justifies their purchase.
The only technical debate that I recall is whether you should use dual ground plugs with the gs300 due to the way it's coil ignition system works. However, even there, people who've used iridium still say despite the technical details, the single prong still "works great" no problems.
here is thread with the posts on "wasted spark ignition" for the 300:
