At what hp point will a stock aristo 4spd trans fail?

I've heard 400'ish whp but haven't blown one up yet myself.

ish thats not good looks like i'll have to either get it built or go 6spd.

400-450 range depending on whether your on twins or single. On twins it will handle 400-450 hp on single turbo setup the tranny will go out real quick since there isnt a transition like the twin turbo setup, there is just one big surge of boost on a single turbo setup so basically you get the idea.

i'm on the stock twins and have valve body upgrade making right around 400 to the wheels and my tranny is starting to slip, although some of that may be my fault cause i overfilled it once with fluid and didn't drain for a day or two.

If you let off between shifts, don't do burnouts, a install a good cooler setup, it will last much longer at 'elevated power levels' but still ultimately will need to be built after some time once making BPU or better.
