Hey Everyone,
Now before people say "USE THE SEARCH BUTTON" or anything like that... I have done that with minimal assistance.
I know that people put the v160 trans in the gs300, and also the w58 is also an option... but the v160 is really pricey, and the w58 does not hold much power.
Also I know people love the Boost Logic trans and the Titan... but I dont feel like spending all that money on a trans and then buying a stand alone ECU.
My question to you all is if anyone have dont the R154 trans? Ive read that it will require modification to the tunnel where the trans sits, but other than that bit of information... I havent heard anything else. ANYONE TRY IT?
Any help is appreciated.

Using any type of manual transmission on the GS will require some modifications. If you're this mechanically advanced then modifying the tunnel should be the least of your worries. Idealy, if you're pushing big power or plan on pushing big power then prepare to spend some big money on supporting modifications. Like they say, you have to pay to play.
The W58 is cheap but will hold up to about 350 reliable ponies. An R154 sell for a bit more but worth the extra money only because of how reliable they are. If price is your main concern then stay away from the V160 but if youre pushing big boy power then I recommend you get it.
The end.

I bought a R154 from a MKIII Supra for my GS, but I am having second thoughts about going manual.
I chose it because the w58 is weak and I didn't want to fork up the loot for a getrag.

does anyone make a trans mount that will work? Every time I go to the shop and look at the GS... I keep telling myself to just do it!!!
I know that aadaam did a shifter extension... and it doesnt look that hard to do... but the trans mount is my only concern
