Default Y Pipe Rusted Out

My Y Pipe is rusted out and I have a pretty nice exhaust leak coming from it. Im losing back pressure and it sounds awful. I have a Borla axel back exhaust and the long tube resonators removed.

What is the best course of action to fix this? The OEM pipe is 1500.00 dollars...not trying to do that at all.

Yes, same thing happened to me a couple of years back. A rusted y pipe with a crack in it. Bought a new y pipe, oem from Carson for about $500 and had my shop install it for another $150 or so.

If its rusted out, the only options you have is to cut out the rusted section and weld in new piping, or order a new one from eBay. $1500.00? Where and what dealer? I'd like to know so I never go to them!

When. I was shopping for mine I found one on eBay. It was some aftermarket brand and it had a cat. Since mines a 98 I didn't want a 3rd cat. The one on eBay was something like $325 plus shipping. I felt better just getting a new OEM for $450. It's a quality piece!!
