Default Retrofit GS400 intake to LS400?

So, here is the deal. We all know the scene on my side of the forum is not nearly as active in regards to performance modifications. There really isn't even one proper intake, at least that I can find for the LS400. I finally was turned onto headers made my PPE and I found this thread in regards to the K&N FIPK intake. My question is, how much modifications do your think needs to be made for this to fit on the LS? Is the MAF the same size as the GS? Any other ideas. I'm honestly looking for at least 40 HP from intake, headers and full exhaust. Think that is achievable? Headers are rated at 20 alone. Love to hear some comments?

I dont think you will reach 40 HP. Maybe with an Apexi Neo.

Is this what GS400 owners are using with similar setups? If so, what kind of benefits does the piggyback add?

SRT intake/PPE Headers/Greddy or another proven exhaust and you should be close to 40 hp if not over that but are you wanting 40 wheel horsepower or 40 flywheel horsepower?

yes the neo is a good addition

rock-a-lex is one of the highest NA hp gs owners on here you might wanna hit him up.... btw most items should fit the LS block fine BUT clearances might be different between the 2 models

GS FIPK is a long way from clearing in the '98-00 LS, the engine bay simple isn't long enough and you end up with a fair bit of fouling with the shroud/radiator to the point you can't actually bolt it up.

trust me, I tried it.
