Yeah Blitz makes a washable replacement, they go for about $60..

Otherwise for a typical disposable replacement just stick to a $10 denso or a wix.

Frequent changes is most important thing with filters.

Wix or Denso is perfectly fine
FWIW, a once a year change isn't so bad of a idea but not needed

I second the Blitz. Awesome filter and washable/re-usable.

my advice for the BEST cabin filter is diy made out of high quality home air filter material that you get at home depot.

The filter tray is 1" which matches panel air filters for HOME air filtration.

With so many people getting "allergies" the latest and greatest in air filtration technology is in this area, not in car cabin filters.

You will find the latest and greatest cutting edge features such as Electrostatic, merv11 ratings and the like that don't trickle down to car cabin filters.

There is a DIY if you search, but it is up to you to spend as much or as little as you want on the actual filter material, and you get what you pay for. If you get the cheapest filter from HD, then it is not better then the regular replacement filters.

Some tips from me are to make sure there is no metal chickenwire in the panels, so it is easier to cut up for DIY. Get the ones that are all paper or paperboard.

I used another section of the filter panel "side piece" to seal up the other end of the panel, Use duct tape to seal the edges to the holder or hold the pleats to the sides if you really want to get a good application.

You can get 4 car replacements out of 1 home panel (i suppose this depends what size you get), Once you got one down to the right size and fitted, cut up the other three so you are ready to go for your next 3 changes, and don't have to redo your sizing 4times.
