Meineke just tried to sell me exhaust manifold w/ cat for $1350 !!! good deal ??

Why do you want to delete the thread? Sometimes people can learn from others mistakes.

If your cat is failing, your rear o2 sensor will show incorrect readings, which will lead to the cat efficiency codes. This means your O2 sensors are working. If your O2 sensors aren't working, they would throw all kinds of other codes. Start with replacing just the cat, if you are in Idaho, I don't think your smog laws care what kind of cat you put in there. Here in california we have to use specific approved ones.

Also, there are two cats, I doubt they both failed at once. Have an exhaust shop weld a new obd2 universal cat inline on the side with the code.

As for the warranty, they just lied to you. Their prices are absurd anyways, go to a different shop.

Do you even need the cats fixed where you are at? Do you need to pass an inspection ASAP or something?
