I bought the car a year ago with a NON-VVTI gte swap. it started up fine... drove good then got rod knock shortly after.

I just finished putting in a new block, and refreshing the head and I put it back in. Now the car really really really hates cold starts. Once the pump is primed... and you crank the motor over... it will crank and crank and act like it wants to start up... but it wont.

My friend sprayed some ether onto the intake filter and then it would fire up. Every start after that... NO ISSUES at all.

I am not on any stand alone, and I understand that this car needs a tune. But has anyone experienced something like this?

I just want to get it started so I can move it around my driveway when I am blocking the other cars.

ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED.

Sounds like youre not receiving enough fuel, could be as easy at a tune. Park it upfront or whatever out of the way, let others block you in...

Yup... fuel delivery issue. Check the fuel pressure and volume.
